Haussmann 64 – the return of a classic icon

Launching a re-edition of the original

Robert Haussmann – architect, interior designer and designer – gave distinction to the Swiss aesthetics for around sixty years.

The armchair with leather seat, which Haussmann designed for the center of the hotel industry at the Swiss Expo in 1964, offers in addition to the sculptural shape another feature: it only has three legs, whereby the middle in the back is profiled wider and thus for good stability purposes.

Dietiker launches a re-edition of the original. The only minimal adjustment is an implementation as a „flatpack“ to better meet logistical requirements. With just a few screws, this model is assembled in no time at all. The Haussmann 64 chair is available in beech or oak and with a stained or upholstered seat. Many colours are available as standard, but on a project basis a free choice of colour is also possible.
